Our take
Regular cleaners can lift the stain but leave the smell, and if your pet can still smell it they're likely to go in the same spot again. Enzyme products like Rocco & Roxie break down the matter that causes the odor.
It's one of Amazon's best-selling pet stain removers and is certified carpet-safe by the CRI (Carpet and Rug Institute). It works on carpets, couches, pet beds and mattresses.
For it to work, soak the area well and let it sit; don't scrub and dry it right away. Test a hidden spot first on delicate fabric.
Pros
- Removes odor, doesn't just mask it
- Great with puppies
- CRI carpet-safe certified
- Made in the USA
Cons
- Needs time to work
- Spot-test delicate fabric first
